I’m trying to figure out what I should think of the song and the music video that goes with it. The lyrics sound kind of dirty, and the music video is quite cheesy (especially when that pony comes out). But at the same time, I laughed quite a bit watching the music video.

I honestly don’t like the type of songs that talk about sexual things because kids are listening, and if they aren’t learning from parents, they sure learn from the music on the radio.
However, I am an adult, so I’m not one to be influenced by what a song talks about. Mariah didn’t write the song to be serious, it was all in fun, and if you think it’s cheesy, that’s fine. I’m sure her fans think it is, too. At least some may think it is.
She was having fun, and the video was just a little joke. Exaggerated. Mariah likes unicorns and rainbows and pretty much anything others may consider to be cheesy, so it’s all her. Life is too serious, so she will sometimes make sure her videos are a little more fun to watch and even fun to make for her and her crew. Some of her songs were not meant to be taken seriously, either.

I am a fan but I find the song endlessly **** and playful without ever being lewd or vulgar. Try to find another pop song out there that accomplishes this – it’s a rarity. I still listen to this song every week. It’s hard to get enough of it. I think it is by far the best song off her new album, even though it is full of other good ones like the new single “I Stay In Love.”
By the way, in your question you say “I’m trying to figure out what I should think of the song and the music video…” but that is not a good thing – you shouldn’t need what we say to qualify your own opinion. However it makes you feel – enjoyment, anger, annoyance – then that is how you feel! There’s no feeling that you “should” feel – just make up your mind for yourself, and THAT is the right answer.
